This is a photo of the first targets used at the Original Pennsylvania Benchrest Club. These were actually a military long range target with a center 5 ring the size of what would now be our 9 and 10 rings. A possible 50 score was all that could be attained on this target. Also note the index card pinned to the center of the target to make the "patch" we now aim at. There was no white aiming square on the targets until late in the 1990's when the club targets were custom printed and this practice continued until that time.
